How do I wash my hammock/microfiber towel/harem pants

Hammock

We recommend hand washing your hammock, but if necessary you can machine wash your hammock in a front loading washer. Be sure to remove the carabiners, wash on cool on the delicate cycle with a mild detergent. Do NOT put your hammock in the dryer.

Towel

You can wash your towel along with the rest of your clothes with normal detergent in the washing machine. Tumble dry on low or no heat, or hang dry.

Harem Pants

We recommend that you hand wash your pants with cold water and hang dry them. If you MUST wash them in a washing machine, use the lowest/delicate cycle and was them separate from other clothes.

How many people can an Active Roots Hammock hold?

All of our hammocks are large enough to fit 2 people, or hold 450 pounds. We have successfully tested for 3 adults before, but take caution if you're going to push the limits!

What kind of hammock straps do you use?

We offer the highest quality kodiak tree straps. These straps are easy to set up, adjust, and won't damage the trees that they are wrapped around. 

How do I prevent my microfiber towel from smelling?

In order to maintain a clean, fresh smell for your towel, we recommend washing it regularly and making sure that it is completely dry after using it before you use it again or pack it in luggage.
